What is ABE? ABE or Adult Basic Education provides classroom instruction from basic literacy through GED preparation. Subjects include all those required for the GED testing. Literacy classes emphasize reading, phonics, writing, and math. All students are given an assessment test to determine their level of competency for class placement.
| |
| ESOL What is ESOL? ESOL or English for Speakers of Other Languages provides classroom instruction for beginners through advanced levels. Instruction includes conversation, grammar and writing, and American culture and traditions. Each student is assessed to determine understanding of the English language before placement in a class. Students are placed in classes according to their speaking and comprehension abilities.
