Academic excellence for every student, in every classroom, in every school

About The Special Education Department

About the Special Education Department

Our Special Education Department works collaboratively with students, caregivers, teachers, and support staff to ensure that students with disabilities receive individualized instruction, accommodations, and services that promote academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and independence. We are committed to providing equitable access to education in the least restrictive environment while supporting each student’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.  Through high-quality instruction, individualized supports, and evidence-based practices, we help students build independence, confidence, and self-advocacy skills for success in school and beyond graduation. We believe that all students can learn and thrive when provided with the right supports and opportunities.

If you have a question or concern about your student’s services, we encourage you to contact your student’s school first. If you need additional support, please contact our office at 508-821-1204.
